In college, I studied Interior Design.

Although I didn’t end up ever working as a practicing Interior Designer, the principles of design are deeply ingrained in me.  Balance/Alignment, Contrast, Emphasis, Repetition/Pattern, Unity, Movement and Rhythm.  My design education gave me a high regard for craftsmanship, a deep appreciation for even the smallest details and a constant joy in my observations of color.  All of these come into play in my quilting, and in truth, in everything I do!
