It'll All Come Out in the Wash!

I couldn't help myself!  This post began with cats, so I figured it was perfect to end it with a cat too!

I washed the throw by itself on a delicate cycle with a small amount of Woolite mild detergent.  Depending on your washing machine, you should select a cycle that is short, gentle in its agitation but spins dry completely.  Also, after washing, check your machine's lint catch and remove all the fuzz and threads that will have been caught in it.

I dried the throw on a normal setting for heat level.  The most important part of the drying process is to either set your timer for 10 minutes or interrupt the cycle every 10 minutes or so to clean the lint trap.  Continue the process until the throw is completely dry.  This is when your throw gets its ragged seams and they become fluffy and soft.
